psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis help - Noonehere - 05-01-2017 Hello I am looking for a few things for a friend that is in pretty bad shape. He has been on humira for a few years but was recently taken off because insurance won't cover it anymore. He has both psoriasis and psoriatc arthritis and it is crippling him. Anyone have any knowledge or information on non biologic treatments available outside of the US? Thanks. It worked, but was tough on their body. She needed regular liver function tests. In the end she felt it was worth the nastiness of cyclosporin to limit the arthritic damage (which left unchecked would have got worse). I'm not aware of any non-biological treatments beyond trying to avoid the triggers for flare ups (e.g. anxiety). Some people advocate a low inflammation diet. Anecdotally I have heard diet can help with a number of autoimmune diseases. His legs from his ankles to his knees are 100% covered. about 20% or his arms from hands to shoulder. He is trying to get away from the biologics because he has already gone through the whole cancer part of being treated with them. Now he is cancer free and trying to stay off all of the meds but he can barely walk or hold anything in his hands. He said he has a list of non biologics treatments I'm just waiting on him to send it to me and I will list them when I have it. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction once I have the list. Thanks again for your input I appreciate it greatly.(05-01-2017, 05:27 AM)Noonehere Wrote: Hello I am looking for a few things for a friend that is in pretty bad shape.
