I always thought blisters = legitimacy. But if they. An fake a pill they can fake the blister.

Good comments folks. The rattle factor is a definite concern and vacuum sealed bags are definitely my preference for a number of reasons. I also think that a blister with an embossed expiration date vs. a printed expiration date is a good indicator of authenticity (especially if you wet the ink and it starts to smear).

We have an IOP vendor here who sells a Pfizer product in blisters and the med. is without question authentic product. So, I am not a complete unbeliever. I do feel, however, that blister packaging should not be relied on as a guarantee of authenticity.

I'm about to try my 1st order with an email vendor and, if my meds arrive in blisters, I will certainly be scrutinizing all aspects of the product. Most importantly of course the quality of the med., but I will also be looking very carefully at the packaging as well.

Always be mindful my friends that we have cast-off most safety nets in order to trade as we have chosen. It’s your health that is at risk, so stay smart!

That is sound advise Raven ... Always check, even if it looks legit, check it anyway ... It is bettere than finding out the hard way ...

Disposing of blisters bothers me - I feel as if they'll somehow get tracked back to me, but that's me being paranoid. Some of the larger vitamins have big blisters to get rid of. A small plastic bag is more comforting to me, if the contents are potent, and they almost always have been for me.

I'm lucky enough to have never received fakes, blistered or otherwise.

When I first started ordering, blisters were a big selling point to me. They seemed to somehow prove the legitimacy of the product. Now, with much experience under my belt, I'd much rather just have a vacuum-sealed bag. Less sound, takes up less space, and so much less waste. I hate having one extra piece of trash per every 10 pills.

I wanted to chime in here about this topic. I don't post much at all, but a loooong time around. I recently have had a major problem with blisters being completely faked and meds inside faked. The problem is from an India vendor and I won't give out the vendor name unless you all want it. I've had great experiences with them for years and then all of a sudden a particular Batch # all the same number started coming in and faked from blister to pill. They use actual Abbott back sides of the blisters, but then print on the expiration date and Batch number by hand and also a few other parts of the logo in blue. This all comes off with soap and the real Abbott packaging never comes off. Besides the discrepancies on the blister itself, the pills are twice as big, chalk with some sort of med inside, who knows what and they break apart with no "film" coating. The actual real med specifically says it has a film coating, thus an immediate indication that they are fake. They have some sort of component of the actual med in the pill, but in no way would they be real. I've asked the vendor numberous times to look into this particular problem, but no fix, thus the last time I will be giving them my business. I feel that we should call out these people if they've been given multiple times to correct the problem. I can understand getting a batch from a supplier that was fake and they not know, but this is obviously not the case. They have taken it in their own hands to make counterfeits for their own benefit. It's happening a lot lately in my opinion. That's all thanks for listening to my rant!

I am sorry that happened.

For now, lets not give up the vendor name.

Yes, you have been a member for a bit. But, spent about forty minutes online.

So, ignore them if they ask. This is not blacklist. We don't mention vendors in here.

But, if u r amenable to same, when i feel a bit better I can PM u or email you and you may respond to me via email. k?

You sound wise. I would like to see you post more often. And, I do recall this screen name or a very similar one in my journeys.

Welcome, btw.

Thanks for the welcome Charon!

Yes I'll hold off on the sound off for the vendor no problem, just want people to be safe out there. We are all in this together! PM me anytime. I always am on this board, but never log in, so today was one of my first. I'll log in more often Wink
