RE: Hey all - Charon - 08-22-2020 RC sites are research chemicals. One is to do them as research only. Of course they made chemicals that were lethal to many. One year at Christmas, a fellow forum lost several several good people whom had no idea how dangerous RCs can be. they are legally problematic. We have very few threads on them any more. Nor do we want anything that attracts the eyes of LE. Amazon openly sold tylenol #3 for a tad bit. Then, PETA, for reasons unknown, broke into labs supplying amazon. and replaced the codeine with seroquel. That could kill someone elderly or with dementia or on certain meds. So PEtA fecked that up for all. When u deal with an open format, like EBAy, yes, people make offers. They can be scammers and they could be Law. The first place attorneys are taught to get info on a person is to check their social media. LE reads online all the time. They even put out warnings that they are omnipresent now as this virus is bringing criminals online earlier and worse than usual. Ok. BTW, u don't have to show up here often. No mandatory requirements. At this time. RE: Hey all - Igloo - 08-22-2020 (08-22-2020, 12:35 AM)Charon Wrote: RC sites are research chemicals. One is to do them as research only. Then I discovered you could only edit posts before 10 mins had passed - whoops! :P I was also wondering about mandatory requirements. I have seen you reference needing to make 50 posts in on-topic areas within 100 days, or else getting your account deactivated. For example, in the Important Announcements thread https://www.ioplist.org/showthread.php?tid=12&pid=43379#pid43379 and also in other posts of the forum, such as https://www.ioplist.org/showthread.php?tid=3966&pid=88849#pid88849 This isn't listed in the Board Rules thread though https://www.ioplist.org/showthread.php?tid=1 So, is it just an old rule or something? But yes, I just want to apologize for somehow messing up the above post. I tried to edit prior to the 10 min limit, but then the 10 mins passed whilst still in the editing mode and then the above error somehow happened. Sorry again! ----------------- Ok, so this is now a *triple post*. Sorry about that as well. But from the looks of it then, if you try to post again, after already making a post with no new replies, it just gets added to the end of your previous message? Well that's kinda neat I guess, and cuts down on double post spam and things. And when I was editing the first time, it must has changed to reply rather than edit, due to the 10 mins passing. RE: Hey all - Charon - 08-22-2020 We deactivate some accounts if they don't post in a year or two. Some rules were when we were private. Most members planned on making the required posts. So we may have suggested within 100 days. But right now, people came back after not posting for a long time. But it is the circumstances of life right now. So we are trying to not turn people away whom are back for help. k? Thanks for clearing that up. ![]() (08-22-2020, 01:43 AM)Sandbwoy Wrote: As the lovely Charon has already stated, RC stands for re$e@rch ch£m1cal (we have to speak in code like this so that certain terms don't throw up this site as a suggestion on search engines). Yeah, sorry. I'm already somewhat familiar with RCs, but my brain just didn't process the acronym right at first. I thought RCs were much more of a newer trend though. Read about them a lot over on Reddit. Didn't realize ordering this stuff has been happening for a long, long time now. I don't get involved in them myself, but one thing I know is that you've got to be careful about unknowingly receiving fake m3ds with them added. Like you said, some can be very potent stuff, especially when you're expecting something else. You'll soon get used to the way we communicate, the coded writing and the abbreviations. Thanks mate. You too. Now that you mention it though, I was wondering about the "Reputation" points users have. I searched the help articles and couldn't find anything. Is this only available for more senior members or something? I'm assuming it's a way to +rep other users' posts? I was wondering as I would have done for you, if I could have figured out how. lol RE: Hey all - Charon - 08-22-2020 Ok, if u have the ability to rate another's post, please don't give negative ratings to people. We shall handle that. It can scare members that everyone might have the ability to rate another. Our first two weeks, we had a fine lad come on. And within a week his Roid meds came in and he was giving all the staff negative reviews for our profiles and whatever. He got a couple more chances but he got the boot. It was hurtful to the people whom found a negative rating from a drug addled brain under their forum name. Just sayin. We give ratings to encourage you all. Have glorious weekends. I know that I can rate things though, and have added positive rep points for others. Here's what I see: imgur(dot)com/a/NhDRJuX So yep, no PM or Rate options yet, but thanks for explaining! Also, noticed you mention a "Warn" option too - what does that one do, as that's missing also? And am I correct that rule #2 means you can't post proper links? But that the modified Imgur link above would be ok? Perhaps Charon could help answer that one. Sorry for all the questions! But it's very appreciated. Thanks. RE: Hey all - Charon - 08-22-2020 Perfect, Sand. Thank you. It is just a hot link goes right to g00g;e. and once a hot link knocked out the forum for a tad bit. If you make a mistake, just post and I shall fix it. Or PM me if you have fifty posts. I still type full links by error. I should really ban myself. The warnings: Only we can give them out. The staff and one Pioneer Member can also warn. You don't want a warning. Most whom get them do not last. They usually dissipate when u have made your welcome thread. Or stopped over posting or talking words that will get the attention of LE. Elsewise, don't worry so much. These are such stressful times, we don't want undue stress on any of us. If u make a legit mistake, it is not the end of the world. Just don't give up our vendors info. That crosses the line. But we can be very reasonable. RE: Hey all - Igloo - 08-23-2020 Ok awesome. Thanks for helping again. Although unfortunately, I posted a link previously without blocking it out. The post in question (post #54 in the thread): hxxps://www.ioplist.org/showthread.php?tid=4090&pid=137811#pid137811 I only realised it was an issue later on when I saw another poster mentioning it. And the rules say "Please do not make repeat copy posts or Spam the forum with any links", so I thought that meant it was just spamming that was an issue. Perhaps you could fix that post for me Sharon? Sorry about that! RE: Hey all - Charon - 08-23-2020 I got it. Thank u for letting me know. I think that site was safe but we should all stay in the habit of being oh so cautious with all this Fresh Hell going on around us. Thank u Igloo. |
