This president doesn't receive support from either side really, far as legislation goes. GOP's mostly talk, when they have something to say.
This last minute attempt to fund a wall is only to save face. They know an attempt is futile at this point so mainly an exercise to remain Copacetic with constituents.
Judging by the frenzy from both sides while Trump was running and the 24/7 brow beating of corporate Legacy media (during his run and after his win) plain as day he's a threat to both parties. Not part of the establishment and not malleable enough for conventional politics. Potential issue for special interest, large conglomerates and corps who dump substantial sums for their interest/agendas.
I may not agree with everything this guy does, but when Big Brother (CIA/FBI/NSA), Legislators, Hollywood and corporate media get their panties in a wad it's a good indication the right person is in office. Need more disruptors in the future.
