Did there used to be many more iops listed here? - devlspawn - 06-20-2016
Just a quick question to see if I'm going crazy. When I recently looked at the iops list I was surprised to only see a handful listed. I could have sworn when I first started visiting there were dozens and dozens. Has the list indeed dropped that far or was I just looking at the wrong thing all along?

We have had troublemakers copying our forum word for word since we went public a month or two back.
The IOPS remain. We have added a few. It will take achieving your fifty posts in ON topic areas. The welcome thread and the lounge won't count toward ur first fifty. They count toward long time members becoming friends with u.
(As too much info went out on some IOPs, and many feel that contributed to some problems of late, we felt we had to protect our vendors once more.)

Recently devis, yes. I haven't noticed a drastic change over a short time period though.
I'm talking about way back, like 2-3 years ago, there were tons more. I was lucky enough to experience those golden days.
I've heard long-term members talk about the true golden days when little regulation made iops much more common and successful. I really wish I could've experienced those days. But that's taking it way back!

Golden years - 2004-2006 IMHO. I think though devlspawn might be referring to the list here on this particular forum since at the moment there may be things out of view to say, a noob like me or devlspawn.

Hope you do find help here. Interesting name. Still good one's left: Oscar Mayer, Pancho Villa, Kalel, and Got-the-Shakes to name a few. Hope to see you in the welcome thread soon, always a good early start-might have missed you. Thanks for your observation too! New and old members always appreciate a fresh perspective. Once introduced, try to find some fun in the off-topic areas.

Thanks for the info, I have been plugging along fine on the one or two I'm familiar with for years, never noticed what else was happening. Gotta get involved to see whats good.

Thanks Sharon, it was quite a while ago. Glad to know they haven't necessarily all disappeared. just more discreet. I can maintain my status as only slightly crazy

Wow I was gone for maybe 2 months and all this has gone down? I have a lot of reading and catching up to do!
Guess I better get back to work on my 50 posts.
